Hacksaw blade model number represents the number of teeth per 25mm length, usually as follows:

1, fine serrate, the corresponding tooth distance is (0.8,1mm); The number of teeth within the length of 25mm is 24-32 teeth.

2. Middle serrated tooth, corresponding tooth spacing is (1.2,1.4mm); The number of teeth within the length of 25mm is 18-22 teeth.

3, coarse serrations, the corresponding tooth distance is (1.8mm); The number of teeth in 25mm length is 14-16 teeth.

Choice of saw blade thickness:
1. The thickness of the saw blade should be selected according to the hardness and thickness of the processing material.
2, saw cutting soft materials (such as copper, aluminum alloy, etc.) or thick materials, should choose coarse teeth saw blade, because the sawdust is more, the requirements of larger chip space.
3, saw cutting hard materials (such as alloy steel, etc.) or thin plate, thin tube, should choose fine-toothed saw blade, because the material is hard, serrated not easy to cut, saw chip amount is less, do not need large chip space; When sawing thin material, the sawtooth is easy to be caught by the workpiece and broken, the number of teeth need to work at the same time, so that the sawtooth bear less force.
4, saw cutting medium hardness materials (such as ordinary steel, cast iron, etc.) and medium hardness of the workpiece, generally choose the saw blade.
